Trained in TV programme production by RTE (Ireland’s semi-state broadcaster) she started her working life in television and spent many years on the production team of programmes as diverse as the award-winning satirical “Hall’s Pictorial Weekly” and RTE’s flagship current affairs programme “Today Tonight”, as well as features, documentaries, arts and televised plays.

A translator by profession (she holds the Institute of Linguists’ post-graduate level Diploma in Translation) she moved abroad to work with the United Nations and other international organizations in Paris, Rome and several African countries. She also worked freelance as an interpreter, technical translator and proof-reader in Paris, Rome and Dublin.

Ten years of increasingly debilitating health problems and chronic fatigue drove her to leave the frenetic pace of a 70-hr week TV job in 1990 to create the time to heal herself. To do this she had to sell her home and use all her material resources while building up her Dublin-based freelance translation business. Just a few months later, while still at her lowest ebb, her ability to be a powerful channel of healing for others manifested suddenly – unsolicited through direct touch, giving her at the same time an inner peace she had never known before. This had been immediately preceded by spiritual experiences which in due course she understood as intended to leave her in no doubt about the divine Source of the healing energies which were about to come through her.

In Spring 1993, Monica turned down a long-term contract as translator with the European Commission and Parliament in Brussels & Strasbourg to devote herself full-time to healing and related work.

FAQ
Monica Walsh
By early 1991, through word of mouth referrals, she found herself with a rapidly-growing healing practice alongside her translation work.  The two activities soon proved impossible to sustain simultaneously and another turning-point was reached as a choice had to be made

Apart from being a natural spiritual healer, spiritual workshop facilitator, healer development mentor and producer of healing meditation CDs, Monica is a linguist and writer. Prior to the spontaneous emergence of her healing abilities in 1990, she had a long and highly successful career in two very different fields.
